Meet SaxyLady Queenstown-based saxophonist and performer Sarah Cairns (Lyttle), bringing soulful sax, funky house grooves, and uplifting party energy to events across New Zealand.

With nearly three decades of saxophone experience, Sarah blends live performance with deep musical instinct, creating a sound that is vibrant, warm, and impossible not to move to. From festivals and private events to weddings, clubs, corporate functions and après-ski stages, SaxyLady brings a unique mix of professionalism, personality and feel-good energy.

A long-time Queenstown Lakes local, Sarah is an avid skier, climber, mountain biker and mum to two young girls. Her musical journey began at age eight and has taken her through big bands, jazz ensembles and eight years with the Queenstown Jazz Orchestra. In 2022, she followed her love of funky house and began performing alongside local DJs, including Sean Caird, AKA The Postman, DJ Teo, DJ Ben Lock, DJ Leni Vibe, Dj C:She, DJames and Shantelle Dawn. Since then, Saxylady has become a sought-after live act for local festivals, bars, private celebrations and major events, including opening for SACHI and Peking Duk at Coronet Peak.

Beyond music, Sarah brings a strong background in events, brand, governance and the not-for-profit sector. She understands that great entertainment is about more than playing notes, it is about reading a room, lifting the energy, working seamlessly with hosts and suppliers, and helping create unforgettable moments.
